One-component polymer-silane adhesive for parquet flooring.

According to ISO 17178 shrinkage-free and elastically curing polymer-silane based, waterless, solvent-free adhesive for bonding all normative solid parquet, lamarquets (thickness to width ratio from less than 5:1)multi-layer, industrial(from 16 mm), bamboo, parquet boards, smoked oak, floorboards >=15 mm thick (thickness to width ratio max 1:7). Bonding can be used on normative cement screeds, anhydrite screeds, fully sanded quartz sand poured asphalt screeds and on normative bolted, wood-like mounting boards and gypsum fiber boards.

Can be used on insulation and soundproofing mats(such as Forbo 823 Eurofloor Reno, 821/820 Eurofloor Comfort, 804 Eurofloor Reno Fleece). Improves sound insulation(sound absorption). Can be used without primer on cement or anhydrite screeds. Easy to remove from the surface of varnished parquet floors. Also suitable for cleaned non-absorbent substrates (stable terracotta, natural stone, precast stone, metals) and recommended, non-quartz sanded reactionary priming products Forbo Eurocol**.

Possibility to proceed to further work (sanding and varnishing after 48 hours).

Long application time – about 60 minutes. Suitable for underfloor heating.

For indoor use. Certified by EMICODE EC1Plus, GISCODE RS 15, Blue Angel UZ113.

Product tested for emissivity according to the rules of the German Institute of Building Technology.

PROPERTIES

  • well filling, elastic hardening
  • easy to remove from varnished parquet surfaces
  • improves sound absorption
  • suitable for underfloor heating
  • long application time – up to 60 minutes
  • Free of solvents and water, so it cures without shrinkage
  • fast final bonding
  • No side effects with Forbo Eurocol* recommended varnishes and oils
  • high initial bonding strength, preventing the phenomenon of sliding of glued parquet elements

Designed for bonding:

  • normative solid parquet, industrial parquet
  • floor boards>= 15 mm (thickness-to-width ratio 1:7), multi-layer parquet, parquet panels, also already varnished bamboo parquet
  • smoked oak (odor-neutral)
  • For normative substrates such as: cement and anhydrite screeds cleaned non-absorbent substrates (terracotta, natural stone, metals)
  • approved for parquet installation asphalt screeds, wood-based mounting boards
  • Forbo-Eurocol approved insulation mats
  • for indoor use, suitable for underfloor heating

Technical data:

  • Base raw material: polymer-silane.
  • Color: Light Brown.
  • Specific gravity: 1.6 g/cm³
  • Consistency: pasty, easy to apply, stable joints.
  • Cleaning fresh dirt: Fresh dirt wipes 815 Euroclean Handclean, Tool Cleaner 358.
  • Applicationconditions: min. 15 °C substrate temperature, min. 18° material and room temperature, 35-75% relative humidity – recommended <65%.
  • Application method: toothed spatula, depending on the substrate and type of parquet, e.g. B3/B11/B15 (TKB).
  • Consumption: approx. 800 – 1000 g/m² (TKB/B3). 1000 – 1200 g/m² (TKB/TKB11).
  • Application time: approx. 60 minutes under normative climatic conditions (temp. approx. 20° C , relative humidity <65%.
  • Settingtime : about 24-48 hours, depending on the substrate and the amount of adhesive applied.
  • Expirationdate : approximately 12 months in original packaging.
  • Storage: in dry, cool conditions, tightly closed packages at 5-30 °C.
  • Resistance to moisture: not resistant.
  • Resistance to freezing: resistant.
  • Designation according to GHS(Occupational Health and Safety): comply with occupational health and safety rules and the current technical and safety data sheets of the product, Forbo Eurocol safety and data sheet in accordance with EU guidelines 91/155.

Substrate:

  • The substrate must be stable, resistant to pressure and cracking, dry, without cracks and scratches, not greasy, not dusty. Layers that weaken the adhesion of the adhesive to the substrate and parquet should be mechanically removed according to DIN 18356.
  • If defects are found, they should be reported in the form of
  • Only recommended dispersion or reaction primers may be used under the adhesive.**
  • Pour suitable repair compounds Forbo Eurocol 913 Europlan Silicat over cracks and scratches in the substrate. Use recommended Forbo Eurocol priming compounds and primers to fill the substrate. Use the recommended installation products for the substrate in question to achieve the desired goal.
  • Stably attached ceramic tiles, natural stone slabs, concrete slabs should be cleaned with the recommended Eurocol cleaner, 891 Euroclean Basic and then the surfaces should be matted and vacuumed.

Usage:

  • After opening the bucket, remove the “dross” formed on the surface of the glue, do not try to mix it with the rest of the glue.
  • The application of glue with the TKB/B3-B11-B15 spatula depends on the size and type of parquet and the evenness of the substrate. When gluing long pieces, increase the toothing of the spatula accordingly to ensure proper glue coverage of the underside of the mounted pieces. Maintain a distance of 10 mm from the wall of the glued parquet.
  • Lay parquet in freshly applied glue, taking care to properly cover the underside with glue The phenomenon of so-called “floating floor” in freshly laid glue is specific to the products used and should be taken into account during installation.
  • Loading the glued parquet pieces during the installation and setting of the glue is recommended, especially for long pieces. The adhesive has very good adhesion on most species However, due to the multiplicity of wood species, especially exotic wood, we recommend testing on your own. To avoid adhesion problems on resin-reactive soils, we recommend sprinkling them generously with quartz sand .
  • Under normative conditions, sanding and varnishing of glued parts is usually possible after about 24- 48
  • In the case of non-absorbent substrates and/or low temperature, and/or low humidity, the drying time may extend by up to two days.
  • When gluing critical wood species, especially exotic woods, you should carry out adhesion tests on your own.
  • When bonding critical wood sizes to underfloor heating (floorboards, bamboo, 16 mm industrial parquet), use the recommended reactionary primers from Forbo Eurocol.**
  • When gluing tongue and groove free parquet, use only the recommended Forbo lacquers and care products

Notes:

  • Observe the technical and safety data sheets of the manufacturers of all materials used !
  • We recommend the use of work clothes
  • Remove soiling on the surface of the parquet immediately or wait for it to dry and then remove it with 815 Euroclean wipes If necessary, protect the cleaned areas with a suitable care product. Test the effect of the cleaner on factory-painted parquet in a low-visibility area or on a template.
  • For installation of non-normative types of parquet, please consult our department
  • The adhesive is not suitable for RE wood paving and
